Preparing for our final exam

I've posted the questions for the final exam (the handout from class) on our Angel site, in case anyone needs it. I've also included the list of people who said they may want to get a study group together. If anyone wants to add themselves to the list, I'll set it up so that you can.

Remember to bring your list of blog posts/comments to the final exam session if you didn't hand it in yesterday!

Inheritance Series

Hey Everyone!

I was just curious if anyone has read the Inheritance Series? They consist of Eragon, Eldest, and Brisingr. Brisingr is being released September 20th. It was suppose to be a trilogy, but the 3rd book is being spilt into two books now. So if anyone reads this series or is interested in reading a fantasy series I would love blogging about it.

Also if you watched the movie... I will just say it was nothing compared to the book. It was poorly made and I was very disappointed.

I have actually read both Eragon and Eldest and loved them both. I was excited when I walked by Borders and saw the poster up for the third one. The books are very well written and it brings you right into the story. I recommend it to everyone, even if you're not a fan of the genre it's something anyone can get into

I didn't get the chance to read the books yet but as an avid movie goer, I can honestly say that I was not a fan of stories like Eragon or the Lion, the Witch, and the wardrobe but I loved the Eragon movie and I actually plan to get it on DVD. I love the plot and the whole story line and I think this movie is the reason I am into fantasy more. Actually I wanted to ask what is the genre of the Eragon story because I have heard to it be referred to as Science fiction?

Well with the comment on it being referred to as a Science fiction does not fit Eragon due to the fact that with Science fiction its imaginary elements are largely possible within scientifically established or scientifically postulated laws of nature (though some elements in a story might still be pure imaginative speculation). It can only be classified as a Science fiction in the science community that believes that dragons have existed, but I do not think that there are many out there.

This is for anyone who has read the first 2 books...

Who do you think the 3rd rider is going to be???

I thought it might be Arya or Roman.

Any ideas?
