Preparing for our final exam

I've posted the questions for the final exam (the handout from class) on our Angel site, in case anyone needs it. I've also included the list of people who said they may want to get a study group together. If anyone wants to add themselves to the list, I'll set it up so that you can.

Remember to bring your list of blog posts/comments to the final exam session if you didn't hand it in yesterday!

Kitten's First Full Moon

Kevin Henkes' Kitten's First Full Moon (2004) is an animal realism book with a simple storyline and simple artwork that catches my attention. The moon's light shines on Kitten and also reflects on the pond and lights the kitten’s path only using black and white. The drawings are in black and white with shades of grey yet very interesting. The text is also easy to follow, showing illustrations for each page exactly as it describes the story. Like a real kitten, Kitten scrunches up and pounces, tumbles and rolls. She chases after a bowl of milk she sees in the sky. She tries every way she can think to get that bowl of milk, but she just can’t reach it not even from the top of a tree. While up there, she’s distracted by a huge bowl of milk on the ground. Kitten jumps for it…and gets soaked. Disappointed, she makes her way home to find a real bowl of milk, waiting just for her.
