Preparing for our final exam

I've posted the questions for the final exam (the handout from class) on our Angel site, in case anyone needs it. I've also included the list of people who said they may want to get a study group together. If anyone wants to add themselves to the list, I'll set it up so that you can.

Remember to bring your list of blog posts/comments to the final exam session if you didn't hand it in yesterday!

Esperanza Rising

For Esperanza Rising my role was Artistic. Some of you might have seen that I was showing my group the presentation on the computer. I wanted to let everyone know this was a very fun way to do my project because I am not good at drawing so it allowed me to be creative. If anyone else is not a great drawer either I created this project at scrapblog.com. Below is the link if you want to look at my project.

I really like how you used the computer for your artistic response. I havent seen or heard of anyone doing that yet. Its very creative and a great way to go about doing something that could be difficult if you're not a good drawer/illustrator. I really enjoyed looking at your project, thanks for sharing! It will definetly help me when it is my turn to do my artistic response and by sharing your ideas, opened more opportunities for myself and our classmates. Thanks again, I really liked it.

Great idea for your project. Scrapblog is a very easy-to-use tool, and I think you fit it very nicely to this novel.

Question - if you were to put music to this scrapblog, what would you choose and why?

Your artistic response was so creative! I had the artistic response for Esperanza Rising as well, but I chose to draw a picture.

I really enjoy doing the different responses and looking at other people's perspectives. I would have never even thought to do a powerpoint!

Job well done!

I wanted to use music with this project. However, this was my first time using scrapblog and I could not figure it out. I am sure if I spend more time on it I would learn but, I thought my presentation was already strong enough without the music. However, when I was considering putting music on I was going to use a happy tune for the beginning and end since that is when Esperanza is very happy. Then, for the middle section where most of the pictures are in black and white I was going to use a very deep, dark, sort of depressing music so people could understand the tone of the book during this time. I did not figure out which songs I was going to use yet but it would be very intresting to look for songs that could fit the project perfectly.
